ASMA is the artistic alias of Matias Armendaris and Hanya Beliá. The prolific, Mexico City based duo create gorgeously detailed work which is born out of a deeply collaborative philosophy and an affinity to natural forms. Between them, materially, they cover plenty of ground. Expansive and gushing, their practice encompasses textiles, sculptural surface carving, ceramics, metalwork, woodwork, painting and tattoos, all of which, despite their diverting processes, remain absolutely and recognizably ASMA.
